Family Liaison

My name is Beth Gloe and I am the family liaison for Stone Bridge High School. Prior to staying home with my children when they were younger, I worked in Human Resources and have a Bachelor's degree in Biology. I have two daughters; one is a 7th grader at Trailside and a 10th grader at Stone Bridge. I love supporting our school's cluster and am excited to work with the students, families and staff at Stone Bridge.

My passion is sharing resources with families and connecting people. Check out the calendar and join the Stone Bridge Family Liaison Remind group by texting @sbhsfl2023 to 81010 or click here

Parents/guardians and students, if you ever need to contact me, feel free to email me. If you are a family that needs assistance, please complete this form so I know how best to assist you.

What is a Family Liaison?

The primary role of Family Liaison is to empower parents to become active participants in the education of their children.

How we accomplish our mission:

Family Liaisons work directly with the school Principal and staff by serving as a resource contact for parents within their school community. Family Liaisons’ provides parents with a variety of information about programs, school requirements, resources, special events, and/or activities.

 What Family Liaisons Do:

  • Connect students and families with resources

  • Contact an interpreter for school personnel and/or a parent

  • Communicate and refer parent/student needs with administration, school counseling, school social workers and teachers

  • Refer parents/students to other school personnel as appropriate

  • Collaborate with PTSO and in-school network of resources for students/families

  • Contact local/outside of school resource

How can I contact the Family Liaison?

All contacts will be treated confidentially.

Ways You Can Help Families in Need at Our School

The following are some ways you can help support our students and families that may have a need at our school:

  • Purchase gift cards (grocery stores, Walmart, Target, gas cards) to give to the school to have on hand for families in need.

  • Signup to be part of the Needs Network Volunteers. If there is an immediate need for a specific item, the family liaison will contact you to see if you can help.

  • Help pay a Titan Meal Account balance for a student in need. You can send in cash or check (payable to County of Loudoun) in an envelope to the main office or contact our Cafeteria Manager, Beth Diloreta. Or you can donate funds from your student’s cafeteria account toward the Debt of Children who had insufficient funds on their account by completing this FORM.

Thank you so much for your consideration and support of our Bulldog families! If you have any questions, pleaseemail Beth Gloe.

How Can My Family Liaison Help Me?

Sometimes, parents and students may feel uncomfortable sharing their questions or concerns with teachers or administrators. Because good communication between home and school is such a vital part of your child's academic success, the Family Liaison will listen to your concerns and then work with you to make sure that your situation, questions, or point of view is expressed and understood. They will help support you if you need to find ways to resolve any issues that may be hindering your child's success in school. The Family Liaison wants to be sure that you understand what you can do to get involved, keep informed, share information, and help your child do his or her best.

Need Assistance?

The Family Liaison works with families in strict confidentiality and distribution of school resources is given based on availability and at the discretion of the Principal.
