9 Week Plans

Welcome to 4th grade at Sully Elementary! We are excited to have you join us! Be prepared to advance your skills in Math through hands on acivities. We look forward to reading exciting books with you and helping you write your own amazing stories. We will be digging deep into Virginia history and will be exploring plants, animals, oceans and the Solar System.  Please feel free to contact us with any questions that you might have. Reading Comprehension Questions for parents to ask students:

  1. Does it remind you of anything that has happened in the world?

  2. Why do you think the author wrote the book?

  3. How does the main character change from the beginning of the story to the end?

  4. Name 3 things that you know about the main character.

  5. Are there characters that remind you of yourself or someone you know?

  6. What is the most important thing to remember in the story?

  7. What is something you learned from this story? (a lesson, fact, idea)
