How to Help My Child at Home

1) Become familiar with the technology your child will be using at school and home:

Schoology
Your child will use Schoology in many subjects, inlcuding some specials. You can find classroom resources, virtual notebooks and assignments in your child's Schoology account.

Apps Your Child Uses Daily:

  • Google Suite- Docs, Slides, Drive, Email

  • LCPSGo

  • Schoology

Student Subscriptions:

  • IXL: Math

  • ALEKS: Math

  • Prodigy: Math

  • DreamBox: Math

  • SOL Pass: Reading, Science, Virginia Studies, Math

  • Jefferson Lab: Math

2) Provide a routine and enviornment for homework and studying. Completing homework should not take longer than one hour.

3) Check and sign student agenda and red homework folder EVERY night.

4) Look through and discuss contents of Thursday Folders with your child.

5) Send 1 healthy, filling snack and a water bottle each day.
