Julie Epstein joined us from Fairfax County at a school which also utilizes the STEAM-PBL instructional model. She holds her M.A. in Education and Human Development: School Counseling, as well as a B.A in Elementary Education. Mrs. Epstein has spent the last 17 years as a school counselor and test coordinator. She comes with a wealth of experience including: providing whole school anti-bullying and character education instruction, leading small groups, providing workshops for parents, collaborating with teachers, and coordinating SOL testing. She is a Nationally Certified Counselor, and is a member of the American School Counselor Association. In her interest letter, Julie wrote "I believe teamwork is essential to student success. Together we work to identify and remove all obstacles to achievement and learning, so every student has the opportunity to succeed." This is her 8th year at HCA.
