Hello Culbert Crocs! I am so excited to continue my administrative journey at Kenneth Culbert Elementary. I am a wife and mother of two boys, ages 24 and 21, and a stepmom to two more boys, ages 22 and 19. Before moving to Northern Virginia sixteen years ago, I had lived overseas, on both coasts of the United States, and in several states in between. I originally went to college for Marketing, but after having my boys, I realized helping children reach their full potential was what I was supposed to do. 

I began my career in Loudoun County Public Schools as a substitute teacher almost fourteen years ago before taking a position supporting students in a self-contained special education classroom at Mill Run Elementary. In 2011, I went back to school and earned my Master’s in Special Education K-12 from George Mason University. During that time, I was the teacher of a self-contained special education classroom at Mercer Middle School. Several years later, I became a cross-categorical special education teacher at Liberty Elementary. After having the opportunity to teach at both the primary and secondary levels, I decided to go back to school for Educational Leadership in 2018. During this time, I became the Dean of Students at Liberty Elementary. In May 2020, I graduated from Shenandoah University with my Educational Administrative Leadership License. Last May, I decided it was time to continue down the administrative path and I became the second assistant principal at Liberty Elementary.  In spring 2021, I began the search for a new school home, and I am thrilled that I will be able to continue doing what I love at Kenneth Culbert. My hope is that I can support our staff in making a difference - academically, socially, and emotionally - in the lives of our students and their families. I genuinely believe all children have a special gift, and it is my job to help them realize their dreams and teach them that there are no limits to what they can achieve!
