The mission of the Meadowland Elementary School Library Media Center is to:

• Provide access to print and online information sources, and develop the skills within the school community so that all can use these sources effectively;

• Work collaboratively with the school community in order to support learning objectives and the curriculum at each grade level;

• Foster an atmosphere where the members of the school community feel welcome; 

• Share the wonderful world of books and authors in order to develop a love of reading in each student. 

Resource teachers strive to provide a unique learning experience designed to meet each child’s individual needs and abilities.  The resource teacher assesses the student’s strengths and weaknesses and closely monitors academic progress.   The resource teacher offers support for parents and classroom teachers, suggesting strategies, classroom accommodations, and modifications that foster success for the students.  Support is both collaborative as well as consultative, involving all team members.  We are looking forward to a great year.
