Our mission is to support the LCPS educational mission of "Empowering all students to make meaningful contributions to the world" by providing high-quality facilities, and safe transportation for the students and staff of Loudoun County Public Schools. 

Department Overview

The Department of Support Services comprises the divisions that oversee Construction Services, Facilities Operations, Management and Coordination, Planning & GIS Services, Environmental, Health and Safety, Sustainability, and Transportation Services. The Department supports the learning environment by providing high-quality, safe, comfortable, well-maintained educational facilities and grounds; and safe student transportation. All aspects of the school system – physical plant, classroom furnishings, and the materials utilized in maintaining our facilities, are provided with the desire to be most efficient and effective.  As stewards of public trust, we also pride ourselves on our sustainability and energy conservation efforts as part of our culture in Loudoun County Public Schools.

Providing timely, responsive, and professional support to our students, teachers, staff, and the community is our department's goal and one of our core values.

The Department of Support Services maintains 100 schools and 14 support facilities for a total building area of approximately 13,535,107 million square feet, more than 4115 acres of campus, and student enrollment growth is expected to continue in Loudoun County.
