Reading Specialist

Welcome to Reading at Aldie Elementary. This will be my first year in Loudoun County, but my 19th year in education. I am coming to Aldie from Frederick County, where I served as a reading specialist and literacy coach for grades K-5. Reading is my passion and I am committed to helping all students build a strong literacy foundation. If you ever have a question or need pertaining to literacy, please reach out. I am eager to support all Bobcat students, teachers, and families!

I have two grown boys and three adult stepchildren. My husband and I became foster parents in 2016, and have many children that are no longer in our home, but remain in our hearts. In my time away from school, I like to read, exercise, play with our three dogs, and attend church. I'm grateful to be joining the Aldie community and look forward to an excellent school year!
