Dear Banneker Community,

I am very excited to be part of the Banneker Family. I am a Virginia native but did my undergraduate studies at Bryan College in Dayton, Tennessee, where I obtained a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Elementary Education. Additionally, I am certified in Middle Education Science and Education Administration. More recently, I have completed my professional learning certificate for a degree in Reading. My graduate studies (Reading and Education Administration) were completed at Shenandoah University in Virginia. I am currently a doctoral student at the College of William & Mary in the School of Education's Executive Policy, Planning, and Leadership (EPPL) program. I spent the first part of my career teaching middle school Science before transitioning to school administration where I served as an elementary school Assistant Principal in Clarke County, Virginia, and more recently at Emerick ES in Purcellville, Virginia.

I have enjoyed serving this community for the last nine years and I look forward to serving it for years to come.
