In an effort to prevent fraudulent applications, the Virginia Community College System (VCCS) has implemented an ID verification process, and applicants will need access to a computer or mobile device that has a camera in order to provide a real-time photo (Liveness Check) and upload a photo ID (Driver's License, Passport, ID Card, etc.).
Dual enrollment students will be exempt from this process if they complete their applications using the high school campuses’ WIFI networks where we have approved the IP addresses. Since we understand whitelisting is not foolproof and not all students will complete their NOVA applications in the high school buildings, DE students may inadvertently be prompted to complete the ID verification step. If this occurs, please email DualEnrollment@nvcc.edu and include their name, DOB, and high school, so the college can override the ID verification step on the backend.
