Meet Mrs. Lacy-Funk

Mrs. Lacy-Funk is so excited to continue supporting Catoctin readers!  The 24-25 school year will be her eleventh year at Catoctin and seventh year as the Reading Specialist. Mrs. Lacy-Funk loves helping students become more confident in reading and writing! 

Mrs. Lacy-Funk is also looking forward to continuing Catoctin's partnership with Loudoun County High School through the Readers Are Leaders program!  The 23-24 school year was our kickoff with this fantastic program and we are so excited to be expanding this coming year!

Mrs. Lacy-Funk LOVES to read.  Recently she has been reading A LOT of board books to her 1 year old daughter, Sophie, with a current favorite being "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom."  But, when she has the time, Mrs. Lacy-Funk loves to read both fiction and nonfiction.  Some of her favorite book series for kids are the Harry Potter series and the Percy Jackson series.  What are some of your favorite books to read?
