School Counseling
Our school counselors provide a comprehensive, developmentally appropriate program which provides all students the opportunity for classroom lessons, individual sessions, and/or small group work. We are available to consult and collaborate with families throughout the year. Students can request to visit with the counselor by writing a note or having their classroom teacher contact us. Parents may contact their child's counselor by calling 571-252-2940 or by sending us an email.
Mr. Mann will be teaching classes to Kindergarten, First, and Second grades. Ms. Janson will be teaching classes to Third, Fourth, and Fifth grades. Both counselors are available to all students as needed. Catoctin's United Mental Health Team* also consists of Laura Zettlemoyer (School Social Worker) and Andrew Levy (School Psychologist).
*The school counselor is the first point of contact for initial student concerns. The school counselor will collaborate and plan for supports with other school-based mental health team members (i.e., school psychologist, school social worker, student assistance specialist), as appropriate.
Please let us know if there is anything you need throughout the school year!
