Password Changes

Here are a few common situations where you will change or need to change your password. Please follow the directions for each situation.

  1. You were Notified by the System Administrator to change your password

    1. If you get a notification like this , please follow the directions or link to change your password.

  2. You want to change your password

    1. If you are at a LCPS location, click here to watch a short clip on how to change your password.

  3. You forgot your password or you are locked out of your device.

    1. You have 2 options

      1. You can open a ticket for your local DES through the Support Center in LCPSGo

      2. You can call  the DDI Help Desk at 571-252-2112 – Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm.

Password Recovery Questions

Having password issues?  Have you tried to create any of the Password Recovery Options? 

There are 3 options that will allow you to recover your password: 

  • Mobile Phone: You will receive a  “code” via text.

  • Email: You will receive an e-mail with a link,  click the link to reset your password?

  • Question: Answer a question of your choosing. (i.e. where you live? Pet's Name, Sibling's Middle Name?)

Each or all of these options can be set up through LCPSGo.

  • Select your profile from the upper right-hand corner of the screen.

  • Select "Settings"

  • Pick "Recovery"

  • Choose your option(s)

Strong Password Guide

With the implementation of LCPSGo, students use one password to access multiple secure portals. To stay safe online, it is important to create a strong password following the steps below: 

  • Mix letters and numbers in your password (i.e. A9*iwu6#).

  • Avoid dictionary words, nicknames or pet names. 

  • Keep your password secure

  • Avoid using usernames as passwords.

Keeping information secure

  • Never share your password with friends or strangers, but do share your password with your parents. 

  • If you use a public computer, please remember to:

    • Sign out of your account (click on your name, email address, or profile picture, then select sign out).

    • Clear forms, passwords, cache, and cookies in your browser on a regular basis.

    • Uncheck the box that offers to remember your username and password.

If you write your password down, keep the note in a secret place that isn't easily visible.

Staff Only

Oracle

  • The payroll department handles Oracle, it uses the same password as LCPS GO and you may call the Oracle Help Desk at 571-252-1880 (Press 4) with any problems. If you have to leave a message, please leave your name, your PID and the best number for them to return your call. Or utilize the Oracle template in Support center to submit a ticket.
