Plan to attend the Course Planner Learning Session Webinars for Parents/Guardians on Wednesday, Jan. 15. Course Planner is an interactive tool that will assist LCPS staff, students, and families with the academic planning and the course selection process. Parents/guardians of 5th and 6th-grade students are invited to attend a learning session at 6 p.m. and parents/guardians of 7th through 11th-grade students are invited to attend a learning session starting at 7 p.m. If you are unable to attend, these webinars will be recorded and posted to the LCPS School Counseling webpage. Titan Theatre's production of Clue runs for a second week. If you like murder mysteries, comedy, or just love the classic board game, you can catch Clue on November 21st and 22nd at 7:00 pm, and Saturday, November 23rd, at 2:00 pm. Friends, family, and community are all welcome!
DHS students and teachers of Hindu YUVA hosted a beautiful Diwali celebration in the Career Center. It was a wonderful opportunity to learn more about Hindu culture. Thank you to everyone who made this event possible.
The DHS Education for Employment class did some volunteer hours at the Community Kitchen in the Dulles Mall. Community Kitchen is a licensed kitchen run by volunteers and donates over 6000 meals a month to shelters. They are maintaining an Open Pantry program.
Sterling Transition Teachers hosted an event to inform families about the resources and services for students with disabilities. The event had a wonderful turnout of parents and speakers from @thearcofloudoun, LCPS Parent Resource Services, VA DARS, and Loudoun County MHSADS.
