School Health Advisory Board
The Loudoun County School Board established the School Health Advisory Board (SHAB) per the Code of Virginia 22.1-275.1 on November 10, 2020. The School Board nominated 20 members, including a student representative, to serve on the advisory board. Per the Virginia Department of Education guidelines, part of the functions of SHAB are:
Provide Visibility for Coordinated School Health Services Program
Involve Parent and Community Partners
Serve as Advocates for Coordinated School Health
Host Forums for Community Health Issues
Recruit Community Health Services
Facilitate Understanding of Schools and Communities
Promote Public Relations
Facilitate Innovation
The advisory board works closely with LCPS Department of Student Services and Student Health Services.
