School Safety & Security
ERMS School Resource Officer: Deputy Nick Dylan
ERMS School Safety Officer: Dominic Dunne
The "If You See Something, Say Something" security program asks anyone observing suspicious activity related to Loudoun’s schools to contact a trusted adult or call one of two tip lines (703-777-1021 or 877-482-8477). Those calling these numbers will be asked five questions:
What did you observe? Be specific.
Who did you see?
When did you see it?
Where did this occur?
Why is it suspicious?
“If You See Something, Say Something,” is initiated by the federal Department of Homeland Security. LCPS is partnering with the Virginia State Police, Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office, Leesburg Police Department, Middleburg Police Department and Purcellville Police Department in raising the awareness of suspicious activity and behavior in schools.
This program is designed to report only suspicious behavior and situations, such as unattended backpacks or someone trying to break into school property. LCPS respects the privacy and civil liberties of those who attend and use its schools. Only reports that document activity that appears to be criminal or related to terrorism will be shared with the Department of Homeland Security.
