• Latin Club is open to all students of Latin in levels I-AP. 

• Our club is a member of the Virginia Junior Classical League and the National Junior Classical League.

• Yearly dues are $10.

• Monthly events - Rice Krispie Roman Architecture, Yoga in Togas, Olympika and more!
  

STATE CONVENTION INFORMATION

The Virginia State convention is a yearly event in late November in Richmond VA.
It is a wonderful way to convene with fellow Latin students, engage in friendly competition, enter contests and enjoy the study of the classics!

• National Latin Exam
  Given March 2023. Sign up with Mrs. Schwartz! $6 exam. Practice exams/app online at NLE website!

• National Latin Honor Society

  Applications due at end of January. Inductions will be in May!
  Membership is for students in Latin IVH, VH and AP only. 

• NJCL CREED

  We, the members of the Junior Classical League, strive to promote the study of Greek, Latin, and ancient cultures.

  We believe this study will help us examine the world and expand our understanding of literature, language, arts, sciences, and humanity. 

  We affirm the JCL experience develops leadership, fosters community, promotes enthusiasm, encourages competition, inspires dedication, and enriches our total growth!
