Student Registration

Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS) begins accepting Pre-Registrations for the 2025-2026 school year on January 6, 2025. Current LCPS students do NOT need to complete this process. Registration for the current school year is ongoing, so be sure to choose the correct school year from the drop-down at the beginning of the registration form. If a parent submits a registration for the wrong school year, the Registrar is required to deny that registration and have the parent submit a new registration for the correct year. Parents who know what their Loudoun County address will be may begin the registration process before moving into the district, but students cannot be enrolled in LCPS until they are living in Loudoun County.

For all students requiring registration, whether or not they were previously enrolled in LCPS, please complete the ONLINE Registration Form. If your student has never attended LCPS, you will need to create a new parent account, after which you will be prompted to continue with your registration. If you currently have or have ever had an LCPS ParentVUE account, please use your existing ParentVUE username and password to log into the registration portal; this prevents the creation of a duplicate parent account.

After you complete the registration form online, a Registrar will contact you to schedule a registration appointment for after February 3, 2025. The Registrar who contacts you will be based on your address and the answers you provide on the registration form. The minimum documents required for high school registration are listed below. You will need to bring a parent/guardian original photo ID and the student’s original birth certificate to the registration meeting, but all other required documents may be submitted by uploading them into the registration form or emailing them to the Registrar later. Additional details about LCPS registration are found on the district website at: https://www.lcps.org/o/doss/page/documents-needed-for-registration

If your student lives in the boundary of a different LCPS high school but you wish for them to attend Riverside next school year, they must be approved for Special Permission to do so. New student Special Permissions can only be approved for students who are already enrolled in LCPS for the next school year and only to attend schools that are not projected to be overenrolled. Please see the current list of schools that are projected to be overenrolled. The public (non-employee) application window for Special Permission for the 2025-26 School Year opens at 10 am on February 3, 2025, and closes at midnight on April 30, 2025. For more detailed information about Special Permission, please see the Office of Student Services website: https://www.lcps.org/o/doss/page/special-permission

Riverside's Registrar is Ms. Kathy Jackson. If you have questions, you can reach her via email at Kathleen.Jackson@lcps.org or by phone at 703-554-8907, option 1.
