Hello Timberwolves!  My name is Wesley Harris, and I am excited for my fifth year as a member of the pack. This year I will be serving as the 6th-grade dean!  I am a proud graduate of Loudoun Valley High School. Following high school, I attended West Virginia University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Parks and Recreation and Tourism Resource Management.  I then attended George Mason University and earned my Master’s Degree in Special Education.  I recently returned to George Mason and earned a Masters Level Certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis. Prior to becoming a Timberwolf, I spent four years as a self-contained Autism program teacher at Stone Hill Middle School. Then I became a Specialized Facilitator for Autism programs for three years.  I am passionate about working with students and guiding them to be successful not only in the classroom, but in their communities as well.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my wife and my five-and-a-half-year old daughter. I also enjoy playing for the local men’s rugby team.  I also love to travel!  So far I have been able to travel to 9 different European countries. I had the opportunity to combine two of my favorite hobbies by going on a rugby tour throughout southern England when I was 19. My next big trip is to visit my brother-in-law in Japan.

Hello 6th grade students and families. I am so excited to join you all for my fourth year at Trailside.

I am an LCPS alumna and have lived in Loudoun since I was 10yrs old. I attended Tolbert Elementary, Harper Park Middle School and graduated from Heritage High School. I received my bachelor’s degree from Old Dominion University, with a double major in Psychology and Human Services, and my Master’s in School Counseling from George Mason University. I have always had a passion for education, mental health and working with young people. I began my career in education as an AVID tutor in Virginia Beach. I loved helping students achieve their academic goals and planning for their futures. Later, I became a Therapeutic Day Treatment Counselor in Manassas Park. This role really prepared me for becoming a school counselor as I spent a lot of time collaborating with school staff to manage student crises and assisting families with finding mental health resources in the community. My other experiences include working with the homeless population, interning for LCPS, and supervising/teaching undergraduate university students. All these experiences have helped shape my worldview and prepare me to work with students from many populations.

A few fun facts about me are that I was born in the United Kingdom but grew up in both Canada and the USA. My family is originally from Ghana, and I love spicy food and Afrobeat music. I have two sisters who are also LCPS alumna and nieces and nephews that I adore. I enjoy spending my free time with my family, listening to podcasts, reading, or taking long walks. I also enjoy going to concerts and exploring new cities outside of Virginia with friends.

We have a lot to look forward to this year in 6th grade. The transition to middle school can be overwhelming, but I promise to be with you every step of the way. I always knew that one day I wanted to give back to the school district that made me who I am today, and I am excited to be fulfilling that goal with Trailside! I can’t wait to see what this year has in store!

My name is Lorna Davis, and I will be the 6th grade house Administrative Assistant.  This will be my fourth year at Trailside.  Before coming to TMS, I was an LCPS Administrative Substitute for 5 years in schools throughout the county.  Before that, I worked in various Administrative and Management positions.

I am originally from Long Island New York but have lived in NOVA for over 20 years.  I attended college in West Virginia at Davis and Elkins College where I received my degree in Management, Marketing and Environmental Science.

My husband John and I have 3 children, Thomas 22, Mary 21 and Joseph 19.   In my spare time I love to walk, go hiking with my husband, assemble jigsaw puzzles and spend time with my family and friends.

This year I am very excited to work with our 6th grader class and help them settle into middle school.
