Loudoun County Public Schools offers a comprehensive music program in grades K-12. Music is required of all students in grades K-5th, in one 50-minute general music classes with a foundation in singing.  Music is required in 6th grade, with offerings of band, chorus, strings, and general music. Band, chorus, guitar, and strings in 7th & 8th grades are electives, and in grades 9-12, a full program of electives is offered, including multiple levels of bands, choruses, orchestras, and guitar.
