“LCPS has consistently advocated on behalf of students who face food insecurity. We believe that meals should be as accessible as possible, which is why we contacted VDOE to fight for additional waivers to provide food to the most vulnerable children in our community,” stated Dr. Scott A. Ziegler, Superintendent. “Our School Nutrition staff worked hard to provide as many benefits to our community as possible.”

Though half the size of neighboring Fairfax County Public Schools, LCPS will have an equal number of summer food distribution sites available to the community.
