Principal
I am thrilled to begin my first year as the principal of Ashburn Elementary, bringing with me 21 years of experience working in Loudoun County as a classroom teacher, Academic Dean, and assistant principal at two different LCPS schools. Originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, I completed my undergraduate degree at Indiana University of Pennsylvania and earned my master's in educational leadership and administration from Shenandoah University. I am currently working towards my Doctoral Degree at Shenandoah University.
I am excited to join the Golden Dolphin family and am committed to fostering an inclusive and affirming environment where all students are empowered to become lifelong learners and empathetic citizens. This year’s theme, "Navigating Change, Achieving Excellence," resonates deeply with me because I believe that embracing change is essential for growth and success. As an educator, I’ve seen firsthand how adapting to new challenges and striving for excellence can transform a school community. I look forward to working alongside our amazing staff, students, and families to make this a successful year.
I strongly believe that open communication is a cornerstone of effective leadership, and I am always available to connect with parents and families. Your insights and feedback are invaluable, and I am eager to work together to support our students.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Michael, and our two children, Charlotte and Declan. I am looking forward to the year ahead and all the possibilities it holds for our school community.
