PBIS: Positive Behavior Intervention Support
Reinforces preferred social behaviors and provides a common language our school community can use as a form of positive feedback.

"SWIM" is not just something we want our students to display at school.  We are training champions for life!

• Dolphins SWIM Together! We are a family here at AES and will treat each other as such by representing ourselves under the pillars of:

  • Show Respect

  • Work Hard

  • Include Others

  • Make Good Choices

There are a variety of activities we do to implement our PBIS program.

• We reinforce our motto of " Dolphins SWIM Together" throughout the day 

• We participate in classroom lessons that align with our school mission and SEL language where students talk about what it looks like to SWIM in different locations and during certain times of our school day.   

• We hang posters up around the school as a reminder of expected behaviors.

• We participate in a positive incentive plan by allowing classes to earn Dolphin Dots for demonstrating SWIM expectations during class, specials, recess, in the hallways, or cafeteria. 

  • When a class fills up their Dolphin Dots jar, they earn a classroom incentive.
