My name is Marcee Baird. I'm excited about transferring from our 2nd grade team to a Math Interventionist this year! This is my 9th year here as part of the Dominion Trail family. I have taught the last 15 years in a variety of settings that include special education, kindergarten and pre-k. I'm a graduate of Longwood University and received my MD in K-12 Technology Integration from Strayer University in 2017.
As a Math Interventionist, I'll be supporting all grade levels and specific students to build their foundational math skills and become stronger mathematicians. My goal for this year is to provide a fun, caring, and positive learning environment where my students can reach their fullest potential through collaborative and hands-on learning experiences. I want each student to feel welcome and be able celebrate learning new strategies in Math. Feel free to email me with questions or concerns.
When I'm not at school, I love spending time with my family and friends. My husband Mike and I have a son, Marshall, who will be 2 this year. We also have two dogs, Mack and Maybel. We love camping, bowling and outdoor activities, traveling and playing games with friends and family!
