Instructional Facilitator

Lauren Rodriguez-Gregg

Ms. Rodriguez Gregg

Lauren Rodriguez-Gregg is excited to be continuing as the new School Based Instructional Facilitator at FDES! Mrs. Rodriguez-Gregg is passionate about fostering relationships with students, families, colleagues, and community members; providing a warm, safe, and engaging learning environment; and promoting equity and access for all through thoughtful differentiation, culturally responsive teaching, and a focus on social-emotional learning. Mrs. Rodriguez-Gregg also serves as the GMU PDS Site Facilitator, where she supports GMU student teacher interns we host each year. She is looking forward to supporting the FDES administration, teachers, staff, and families as they collaborate to attain the LCPS vision.

This will be Mrs. Rodriguez-Gregg’s fourth year in LCPS and twelfth year in public education. In 2007, Mrs. Rodriguez-Gregg received her BA, Elementary Education from Elon University, and in 2018, she graduated from George Mason with her Master’s of Education, Curriculum and Instruction. For eight years, she taught a range of elementary grade levels in Fairfax County and served on a variety of leadership teams and committees in her former school settings. During this time, she mentored GMU Teacher Candidates, modeled best practices for colleagues and community members, and led a number of professional development experiences for and with her fellow teachers. She enjoys taking an inquiry stance when teaching and rolled out three year-long action research projects with her students. In 2019, Mrs. Rodriguez-Gregg was named “Outstanding Elementary Teacher” in her school, and in 2018, she received the “Outstanding Graduate Student” award in her Master’s program.

Mrs. Rodriguez-Gregg encourages families to reach out with any questions as the year progresses. Here’s to a shining new year! #FDEStars
