Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is an evidence-based, three tiered framework  for establishing a safe and supportive learning environment that promotes the social/emotional, behavioral and academic success for all students. Through this framework, schools develop a common vision, language and practices that:

  • strengthen relationships;

  • teach and reinforce expectations;

  • increase positive behaviors, academic achievement and equitable learning experiences; and

  • decrease office referrals and suspensions.
