PBIS at Hovatter Elementary

Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is an evidence-based, three-tiered framework  for establishing a safe and supportive learning environment that promotes social/emotional, behavioral and academic success for all students. Through this framework, schools develop a common vision, language and practices that:

  1. Strengthen relationships;

  2. Teach and reinforce expectations;

  3. Increase positive behaviors, academic achievement and equitable learning experiences; and

  4. Decrease office referrals and suspensions.
