Viking Orchestra Auditions

• Check back for audition material in April. Auditions take place in May ahead of the new school year. If you are not currently enrolled in an orchestra class at BRMS or LVHS, contact Ms. Holowecki at Kelly.Holowecki@lcps.org to receive audition information. Auditions are ONLY required for Advanced Orchestra (Symphonic) and Artist Orchestra (Chamber) when students are skipping levels. Entry from 8th Grade Orchestra to Intermediate Orchestra (Cocnert) does not require an audition.

Regional Orchestra

• Audition: Virtual, Sept. 22-8pm on Sept. 24, 2021
  Acceptance Notifications: via director within a week of audition
  Event: November 12-13, 2021 at Lightridge High School
  Cost: $10.00 to audition, small fee for the event if you are accepted

All-County Orchestra

Audition: Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Dominion HS
Acceptance Notifications: via director within 1 week of audition
Event: April 1 & 2, 2022 at Independence HS
Cost: TBA, event is free if you are accepted

All-Virginia Orchestra

THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED IN RESPONSE TO SCHOOL CLOSURES.

Audition: February 18 & 19, 2022 @ JMU
Acceptance Notifications: via director within 1 week of audition
Event: April 21-23, 2022 @ Richmond, VA
Audition Prerequisite: Acceptance into Regional Orchestra
Audition fee: TBA. If accepted, there are fees to participate + cost of hotel/meals. If interested in MPA scholarship funds, you will need to submit an application for approval. These funds are not guaranteed.

All-VA Audition materials are typically passed out at the Regional Orchestra event.
