Process to Enroll in NOVA Dual Enrollment Courses

Required Process for Current & New NOVA DE Students

Students are required to complete the Dual Enrollment process (below) in order to be eligible to take a DE course(s) at PFHS. The completed form must be submitted by THURSDAY, APRIL 4th, 2024.

*Forms not submitted by the deadline will result in a course change* 

Expectations for DE Courses

Required process for NEW DE students (2 Steps)

Step 1:

  • Apply to NOVA 

    • *you are encouraged to use your PERSONAL email address*

    • **If you are currently in a Dual Enrollment course, please use the steps listed under Current DE Student

  • Follow these step by step instructions to apply to NOVA and obtain your NOVA ID (EMPLID). 

    • Your NOVA ID will be provided on the last page once you have submitted your application (please save this number)

If you already have a NOVA ID but do not have access to your ID number, you will need to call the help desk (703-426-4141) or use the “chat” feature at NVCC.

In order to enroll in your de class please follow step 2

Step 2:

  • Once you have your NOVA ID, please complete your intent form here - https://nvcc.dualenroll.com/login 

  • You will need to "Create a new account"

  • Find and select your high school and enter your personal data. Then, you will need to provide your personal email to receive a verification code to activate your account. You may also opt to enter your phone number instead to receive a verification code to activate your account.

  • Verify your account first from your email or text message before logging in.

  • Complete setting up your account. Enter your NOVA EMPLID when prompted to do so.

  • Check the box to agree to terms and conditions

  • Enter your parent/legal guardian name and contact information. Select a preferred communication method (email or text).

  • Find and select your high school. Then, enter your high school student ID number. Finally, click on ‘Finish’ to complete your account set up.
    Select your dual enrollment course. You may only select a course one at a time (course codes are listed below).

  • Click on ‘Register’ to finalize your course selection.

  • Continue to add your dual enrollment course. Otherwise, click on ‘view status’ or ‘logout’ when you are finished.

  • Your parent/guardian will receive an email or text to complete the required signature.

Required process for current NOVA DE students (1 step) 

Step 1

Do NOT re-enroll at NOVA - please only follow the steps below:

  • Be sure to have your NOVA ID

  • Complete your intent form here.

  • You will need to log in (do not create new account - click forgot username/password if you do not remember your username or password)

  • Add courses your are enrolling in for 24-25 school year (course codes are above)

  • Your parent/guardian will receive an email or text to complete the required signature
