Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA) offers free seminars for parents and students in connection with completing the Free Application For Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). These instructions are applicable no matter where you attend college or trade school.

Financial Aid Workshop - Receive hands-on assistance completing the FAFSA from a College Financial Aid Director
Date: Thursday, January 9th at 6 pm (from 6-8pm)
Location: PFH Cafeteria
Students, be sure to register in SchooLinks (under School Events). . Our financial aid experts will be here to assist you in completing your child's FAFSA's. You MUST have requested and received your FAFSA ID's to participate since you will need them when you start your application. We will start the workshop promptly at 6pm.

Virginia Alternative State Aid Applications
Who should complete the VASA application?
Virginians who are nonimmigrants, undocumented, have Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) status or are otherwise ineligible to file the FAFSA and would like to be considered for state financial aid.
The VASA application provides access only to state and to some institutional financial aid programs. The VASA application does not provide access to federal student aid.
