About Us:  The all-volunteer direction team of Mill House Productions has been privileged to work with SMMS students for over a decade (and other students for many years prior to coming to Smarts)!  While we work incredibly hard to bring outstanding performances to our audiences, our primary mission and focus remains on what the students gain from participating in the complete process.  Among other things, we aim to provide an introduction to the art of musical theatre in an engaging and creative environment, to foster hard work and commitment, to build on teamwork and friendships, and to develop self-confidence and growth in each student.

We would like to remind you that students are invited to participate in an Audition Workshop being offered on Thursday 11/2 after school until 5:15pm in the auditorium.  The workshop will cover the audition process and scoring, and will offer tips on how to best prepare for and deliver monologue and voice auditions.  The workshop is optional, but highly recommended.

There will be a Parent Meeting following the workshop which will begin at 5:30, also in the auditorium.  This meeting usually lasts around 1 hour.

Smart’s Mill PTA / Mill House Productions School Play 2024

Hello Students and Families-
We are looking forward to taking the stage again this spring with our production of Willy Wonka And The Chocolate Factory on April 4, 5 and 6, 2024! The program format will be essentially the same as last year.  Please carefully consider the following important items before signing up for an audition:

  1.       the cast (and crew) size may be limited

  2.       we will hold regular rehearsals on Saturdays  (as well as weekdays and some student holidays)

  3.       there will be no grace for missed rehearsals, being unprepared, or being unmasked (if required)

  4.       if the need presents itself, all cast/crew must follow production mask-wearing guidelines at all times (non-negotiable)

Audition Forms must be completed by 11:00 pm on Thursday, November 2.  No late forms will be accepted.  Crew information and application will be available in January.  Please see the link on the left of this page to complete the Audition Request Form (ACTORs only, crew information will be posted in January) and to learn about the audition format and requirements.

Thank you! It's going to be a great show!

Please note: email that I send does not always make it through the lcps monitor, so some replies to students are not delivered
