Grades 1 - 5 have Art for 50 minutes once a week

Kindergarteners have Art for 30 minutes once a week

Art Goals:

• Your child will grow in self confidence.

• Your child will experiment and try new ways to express ideas and feelings.

• Your child’s artwork will show originality and appropriateness of expression.

• Your child will work at a level of maturity in relation to his visual and motor coordination.

• Your child will be able to organize basic art elements such as line, color, texture, form, and principles of design, such as balance, rhythm, emphasis, etc.

• Your child will be reasonably skillful in using tools and materials, such as paint, clay, drawing tools, cutting implements, carving tools, and the printing process.

• Your child’s work will grow in quality and depth.
