Please click on our names above if you would like to learn more about us or to contact us for assistance.

Overview of Counseling Program

Sycolin Creek Elementary School Counseling Department Mission:

The mission of the Sycolin Creek Elementary School Counseling Department supports the mission of Loudoun County Public Schools and Sycolin Creek Elementary by providing a comprehensive, developmentally appropriate, and equitable program that promotes lifelong learning. Our program models character traits, citizenship, and social responsibility. We focus on three areas of personal/social, academic and career readiness/postsecondary plans. Our program is based on the belief that a strong partnership between home, school, and community is necessary to create a safe and supportive learning environment.

Small Groups

Small groups are offered on a variety of topics. Some examples of topics include, but are not limited to, social skills, academic skills, life changes, and emotions (anger, stress, etc.). Most small groups are offered during the student's lunch time so that instructional time is not missed. If you are interested in your child participating in a small group, please contact the counseling office at 571-252-2912.
