Mission & Vision

The mission of the Willard School counseling Program is to provide all students with a comprehensive school counseling program that fosters the academic, career, emotional, and character development of every student.

In partnership with stakeholders, school counselors will nurture a strong work ethic rooted in service to the Willard community. School counselors will instill an attitude of innovation to inspire all students to become leaders in the 21st century.

Our vision

All students at Willard Middle School will be inspired with a sense of wonder in their pursuit of academic success, make a positive impact on others in the school community, become leaders of their own social and emotional well-being, and be empowered to develop meaningful contributions to our community and the world.

Unified Mental Health Team

Willard Middle School’s Unified Mental Health Team (UMHT) – comprised of school counselors, psychologist, social worker, and student assistance specialist – offers mental health services and supports to enhance student social, emotional, and behavioral growth. This team of school-based mental health professionals works with students, families, school staff, and outside providers to promote a positive school environment that supports student success and ability to cope with challenges through direct (e.g., classroom curriculum, group counseling and individual counseling) and indirect (e.g., collaborating or consulting with staff, families or communities) methods.
