World Languages And Cultures

Our Mission

The primary objective of the Loudoun County Public Schools' World Languages and Cultures Department is to help students communicate through the development of linguistic proficiency and cultural sensitivity.

By interweaving language and culture, the study of another language is implemented through an interdisciplinary approach of the curriculum.   Our objective is to have every student begin language study as early as possible because we believe that all students benefit from language instruction.

The study of another language leads to critical thinking skills that enhance one’s ability to analyze, compare, contrast, synthesize, improvise, and examine cultures through a language and a perspective other than one’s own.   Students will be linguistically and culturally prepared to participate as productive citizens in a global society.

Please contact us if you ever have any questions or concerns. You may email any one of us by using the links on the "Faculty" page or you may navigate to our individual webpages by selecting the "Teachers" link found on the left hand side of this screen.

We look forward to another successful school year as we work together to educate our children!
