The dental program provides high-quality, full-service dental care to uninsured and insured families who are enrolled as primary care patients at HealthWorks.

In addition to treatment, patients receive oral health education about the causes of tooth decay, the importance of good nutrition and how to practice good oral hygiene.

The Health Department provides a variety of dental services, including dental referrals, oral screenings, information on dental health techniques, dental screening in Loudoun County schools and adult dental emergency care.

Services for Loudoun County residents up to 21 years old and younger, who meet income eligibility criteria that include the following:

  • Picture ID

  • Proof of Address

  • Proof of income

  • Medicaid

  • Free lunch letter for the current school year

  • Proof of income of the household

With patient care as our top priority, this is our commitment to you. Our staff is fluent in several languages to make your visit easier.

Goal

We will work with you to develop a treatment plan that meets your immediate needs. We will provide access to affordable, comprehensive dental care services for low-income, uninsured individuals. NOVA Dental is a safety net dental clinic. We provide dental care for individuals regardless of their insurance status.

Appointments

NOVA Dental welcomes all patients, including geriatrics and those with special needs.

Dental Services Offered

All procedures must be paid in full on the day of the work. Payment is based on a sliding scale according to income, marital status, number of children and dependents.

Northern Virginia Dental Clinic

A facility where low-income residents from throughout the Northern Virginia region can access oral health care services.

The Northern Virginia Dental Clinic (NVDC) accepts only those individuals deemed eligible through an established network of referring social service agencies based on where they live in Northern Virginia. (See list of referring agencies at the end of this page.) An individual must be a resident of: Arlington County; Fairfax County; Loudoun County; City of Alexandria, City of Fairfax or City of Falls Church. Additionally, a small percent of Prince William County residents may be eligible for care. Individuals must be age 18 or older with an individual/family income at or below 200% of the federal poverty guidelines. While eligibility is determined by the referring agencies, the NVDC reserves the right to request a reassessment of eligibility or to refuse treatment.

NEED HELP PAYING BILLS:

This dental program provides free dental services and cleaning for adults and others who meet program requirements, including certain income levels. Dental services are provided by various partnerships between local dentists as well as public and private providers.
