Emergency: How Do I Access Help Now?
· If anyone is harming themselves now or has just harmed themselves, call 911 and ask for a Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) deputy or officer.
There are also resources available 24 hours, 7 days a week for youth experiencing depression, suicidal thoughts or other behavioral crises. Call 988 from a phone with a Northern Virginia area code (703 or 571) to be automatically linked with the Region 2 (Northern Virginia) Crisis Call Center.
Emergency Mental Health Services
Update: The walk-in hours for the Crisis Intervention Team Assessment Center have been temporarily adjusted to Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. due to staffing limitations. Services are available by phone 24/7 at 703-777-0320.
Crisis Intervention Services for a Mental Health Emergency
Crisis intervention services are available 24 hours a day to persons who are experiencing a behavioral health crisis. The Loudoun County Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) Assessment Center is open 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, and individuals may walk-in to receive assistance. Experienced clinical staff provide evaluation, crisis intervention and stabilization services. During the hours of operation, a Loudoun County Sheriff’s deputy is also available to receive an individual in crisis brought to the center by law enforcement, which allows law enforcement to return to patrol duties.

Costs
CR2 is provided at no cost to individuals and families. It is funded through both DBHDS grants and Medicaid.
**Individuals and families with commercial insurance may be required, by their insurer, to provide a copay for psychiatric assessment and medication services.
Eligibility
Children, youth, and adults who are experiencing a psychiatric crisis due to mental health issues that place them at risk of psychiatric hospitalization.
