NCAA
National Collegiate Athletic Association
The NCAA Clearinghouse evaluates a student's high school transcript to certify the student's eligibility to compete as a freshman student-athlete at a Division I or II college. The clearinghouse is not the NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association), but an organization that performs services relative to initial eligibility for the NCAA.
To Determine Your Eligibilty Status (any grade level)
If your student has dreams of playing in a NCAA Division I or Division II school, he/she must meet NCAA initial eligibility minimum standards, including core course GPA and SAT/ACT test score requirements. The NCAA Clearinghouse Calculator is an innovative web-based tool that allows you to easily track your son or daughter's progress toward meeting these requirements. Access codes can be secured from your son or daughter's counselor. To link to the calculator, click here.
To Register with the Clearinghouse (as a Junior or Senior)
To register with the clearinghouse, students must complete and sign the Student Release Form (SFR). Students should then bring the signed SFR to their counselor so that an official transcript can be attached. Both the SFR and transcript will be tracked and mailed to the NCAA Clearinghouse by guidance. Ideally, students should register in the spring of their junior year. To register, students can click here to visit the NCAA Clearinghouse website.
