Hello!  My name is Arlene Magarelli and I am the itinerant school counselor at Forest Grove.  I am very excited and looking forward to an outstanding school year with both students and families.  I will be at Forest Grove on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.  I will facilitate classroom guidance lessons, small group counseling sessions and work individually with students.

Here is a little about me:  I received my Bacherlor's from the College of William and Mary, Master's in Professional Counseling from Argosy University and a Post Graduate Certificate in School Counseling from Regent University.

This is my first year as a school counselor as I made a career switch.  After graduating from grad school I started working as a mental health clinician with Fairfax County Community Services Board.  But then I decided to go back to school as I wanted to be in the school system.  I am thrilled to be part of the Forest Grove team.

When not working, I love spending time with my husband, kids, family and friends.  I have 4 kids, three boys and one girl.  They keep me very busy.  I also enjoy running, traveling, and baking cookies with my kids.

I am excited to be part of the Forest Grove community and I am here to help students have a fantastic school year!
