Resource

Forest Grove's resource teachers strive to provide a unique learning experience to meet our students' individual needs.  We teach, keeping in mind the many learning styles that our students possess. We use the inclusion model where we collaborate with your child’s general education teacher to maximize students' learning.  This ensures that all persons working with your child will be on the "same page".  We strongly encourage you, as parent(s), to keep the communication lines open by sharing any suggestions and/or concerns you may have.  We are always interested in hearing from our parents to let us know what is working well with our students.  Please don't hesitate to contact us.

Hello!  My name is Michael Lewis and I will be the Kindergarten and first grade resource teacher for the 2023-2024 school year!  This is my third year at Forest Grove and I am very excited! I started out teaching fifth grade resource and last school year taught grades K-2 resource. Before coming to LCPS, I taught in Arlington Public Schools for over 10 years as a third grade teacher and Communications Special Education teacher.  I am very excited to be a part of the Forest Grove community!  I am originally from Cleveland, Ohio and I am a proud husband and father to two young boys!  I am an avid sports fan (Go Buckeyes, Browns and Guardians) and I have a black and chocolate lab who love to sleep and play at home!  I love to read books, especially mysteries!  I am looking forward to a great year at Forest Grove!  Go Falcons!
