All summer long students have the opportunity to grow in their automaticity of math facts while earning badges along the way. This optional program aims to motivate students to increase their automaticity with multiplication and division facts in a low-stress and fun way. Current Hovatter students have been enrolled in a Schoology Course, "Go for the Gold Summer Fact Fluency". There they can utilize resources to practice their math facts. When they feel confident in the mastery of certain sets of facts they can submit a form to "level up" and earn their badge for their yard sign. Staff will deliver the badges throughout the summer, mostly on Mondays!
Upon returning to school in August students will test to show their mastery. Students will be formally recognized and celebrated for their participation in the Fall!
