Military Families

Hovatter Elementary is committed to supporting and recognizing the unique experiences and attributes of our military-connected students. There are over 80,000 students in the state of Virginia that are connected to our military. Military children often experience frequent moves and family separation due to deployment. This can be challenging for students to maintain stable and consistent relationships. Even with these changes, children of our military families demonstrate courage and resiliency.
