Hello Liberty Eagles!  I am thrilled to be the newest member of the Physical Education team here at Liberty Elementary!  This will be my 12th year of teaching and my fourth year teaching P.E.  It is my first year in Loudoun County Public Schools as I have spent the last 11 years teaching Second Grade, Fifth Grade, and P.E. in Fairfax County.  This is a welcome and exciting change for me and my family as I have two boys, Blake and Luke, who are Liberty Eagles themselves!  

As much as I loved teaching in the classroom, I have found that teaching P.E. provides me with a chance to not only teach but also be physically active with students, which I love!  I grew up playing basketball, field hockey, and softball and that love of sports and physical activity translated well into a love of teaching Physical Education.  

When I’m not teaching, you can find me spending time with my husband and our two sons.  We love to spend time outdoors including biking, walking, hiking, and going to concerts.  To relax, I love to read and I’m currently (somewhat unsuccessfully) learning to crochet.  

I’m so excited for a wonderful, fun school year!  See you in P.E.!

I am so excited to start my 2nd year as a Liberty Eagle!  I work with the best staff and school in Loudoun County.  Prior to coming to Liberty, I taught physical education for 11 years in Jefferson  County, West Virginia. I learned many teaching strategies and exciting games in Jefferson and have been able to share them here with the students at Liberty.  In addition to teaching PE, I  also coach soccer for Loudoun Soccer Club. I have been coaching for the past 13 years and I have coached many age groups!  I currently coach the 12 and 13 year old boys travel teams. 

I love teaching PE, and it is my hope that every student finds the fun and fulfillment in exercise, sports, and lifetime activities.  I'm looking forward to another great year filled with fun and adventure and with the incredible kids and teachers we have at Liberty!  My interests include soccer, biking, hiking, technology and traveling. I also enjoy spending time with my family, doing work in the yard, and playing with my kids.  

I live in Jefferson County West Virginia  with my wife Carly and kids Anthony and Sophia.

I am so happy to be starting my 17th year as a Liberty Eagle!  I have been at Liberty since it  first opened, and I could not be more proud to work at the BEST school in Loudoun County!  Prior to Liberty, I taught physical education for four years in Fairfax County and two years before that in my home state of Connecticut.  In addition to teaching PE, I have also coached swimming for over 30 years!  I currently coach the Potomac Marlins throughout the school year and the Stone Ridge Sharks during the summer.  

I love teaching PE, and it is my hope that every student finds the fun and fulfillment in exercise, sports, and lifetime activities.  I'm looking forward to another great year of working with the incredible kids, parents, and teachers we have at Liberty!  My other interests include swimming, biking, hiking, and reading. I also enjoy spending time with my family, working in the yard, and playing with Maverick and Maisey, my two crazy golden retrievers.  

I live in Purcellville with my wife (Erin), and we have one daughter (Morgan) that lives and works in Charlotte (NC).

And sorry Commanders fans, but my family lives and breathes the DALLAS COWBOYS!
