Lightridge High School has a variety of student supports to help meet the needs of our student and build their success.
Instructional Facilitator
The Instructional Facilitator Role in Loudoun County Public Schools supports teachers and teams to enhance teacher practice and student learning. Instructional coaches partner with teachers to analyze current reality, set goals, identify and explain teaching strategies to hit the goals, and provide support until the goals are met.
Student Activities and Coordinator
The Student Activities and Engagement Coordinator is responsible for working directly with the Principal to support and sustain a safe and supportive school environment that is culturally-responsive, identity-affirming, and inclusive through scheduling, planning, nurturing, and supporting student activities and student connections to the school community.
Student Support Advisor
The Student Support Advisor (SSA) collaborates with school- and district-level leadership to provide holistic support to schools for the cultivation of a safe, healthy, welcoming, and affirming learning environment where access to diverse resources, programs, and opportunities foster individualized student success. The SSA supports the development, implementation, and sustenance of a culture of learning and positive behavior by employing effective, data-driven multi-tiered systems of support with the prime goal of reducing behavior incidents by building staff capacity to respond to student behaviors effectively. The SSA facilitates professional development and builds capacity among school-based staff, school leaders, and community stakeholders through the engagement of evidenced-based practices aligned with district expectations and policies.
Technology Support
The Digital Experience Specialist maintains a complex technology environment and ensures all technology elements are operating effectively so that students, teachers, and staff can remain focused on student learning.
