The Pianist is a story exploring the prevalence of stereotypes surrounding mental illness and our nation’s asylum system. The narrative follows the upheaval of four patients in a 1980s asylum during its closure, and how their perspectives are warped by stigmatization. The Pianist is a student-crafted production: written, designed, composed, and directed by our Theatre 3 & 4 class in its entirety. This production will be staged in LVHS’ Blackbox with limited seating.
