Outside of school, Mrs. Short loves spending time with her family. At home, Mrs. Short enjoys spending time with her husband and five children playing games, watching and playing sports, and enjoying the outdoors. While the rest of the family cheers on the Redskins and Chiefs, she's still cheering hard for her Steelers! Go Steelers!

Colt Fletcher

Asst. Principal

I am honored to be returning for my eleventh year as Assistant Principal at Sterling Elementary School. I spent eleven years as a teacher and dean at Sterling Middle School prior to joining the Sterling Elementary School family. I am very excited about the opportunity to continue serving the Sterling Park Community and working collaboratively with staff, students, and parents to help children grow academically, socially, and emotionally.

I am a native of Loudoun County and a graduate of Broad Run High School. I have a Bachelor's degree in Business and Public Administration from the University of Virginia's College at Wise.  I also received a Master's degree in Education as well as a PK-12 Administration and Supervision endorsement from Shenandoah University.

In my spare time I enjoy spending quality time with my wife, Stephanie, our three daughters, Haley, Chloe, Averie, and our son, Colten.  Some of my hobbies include coaching, fishing, and exercising.  I am an avid sports fan and root for all the local teams, with the Washington Commanders being my favorite.

I look forward to continuing to partner with our families to provide our students with the skills to grow and become productive members of our society. Together we will make 2024-2025 a successful year for all.  Please feel free to contact me anytime if you have questions or concerns at 571-434-4580 or by email at JeffreyColt.Fletcher@lcps.org

Go Jaguars!
