Music
The elementary music curriculum consists of a well-planned sequence of developmentally appropriate experiences leading to clearly defined musical skills and knowledge. As a singing-centered program it is designed to actively involve all students. The program focuses on four areas: singing, listening, movement, and playing instruments. Technology enrichment is also provided. Students in grades K through 5 will attend music class one time each week for fifty minute periods. Various programs and performance opportunities are available throughout the year, as well as opportunities to see live performances.
