Welcome to the inaugural year of Watson Mountain Middle School, home of the Yetis! We work to inspire our students to leave their PRINT and be legendary!

On behalf of our entire staff, we feel incredibly fortunate to lead our students as they enter their middle school years. We know how formative middle school is for your child, and our staff members are uniquely skilled to guide them along their intellectual and social development.

Beyond the exceptional education and learning experiences we expect to provide each student, we aim to support our themin creating a positive PRINT within themselves and in our community. These attributes are:

  • Proactive

  • Resilient

  • Inquisitive

  • Noble

My entire career has been dedicated to middle school education. I have had the privilege of working in a variety of remarkably successful middle schools in Michigan, Khartoum, Sudan, Fairfax County, and the last eight years in the county I call home, Loudoun County.

Mrs. Oliver is ecstatic to be an assistant principal at Watson Mountain Middle School! Prior to her time as AP at J.L. Simpson, and as a dean, Mrs. Oliver spent multiple years as a Division Instructional Facilitator supporting all instruction for middle and high schools in mathematics, division initiatives, and cultivating highly effective teams.

Mrs. Oliver began her teaching career in Prince William County teaching mathematics at Woodbridge Middle School and later moved to Loudoun to teach mathematics and science at Mercer Middle School. She also has an adoration for athletics, serving as the varsity swim coach for Rock Ridge High School and a dance coach at the middle school level.

She is a passionate educator that truly loves middle schoolers! She believes that every person you meet knows something that you don’t, and that each interaction is an opportunity to learn something. She believes in high levels of engagement and that strong, authentic relationships serve to strengthen our students’ experiences.

She earned a degree in Middle School Education from Elon University and has a Master’s in Educational Leadership from George Mason University. Mrs. Oliver loves gardening, cooking for others and competing in triathlons!
