Welcome to the Visual Arts Department at Buffalo Trail Elementary School! 

The study of Visual Arts is important for students because it supports the development of creative problem-solving skills, fine-motor skills, decision-making, risk-taking, and inventiveness. 

The arts boosts critical thinking, provides challenges for learners at all levels, and connects students with cultures all around the world. The art room is a safe space for students to experiment and create. Creating Art also increases confidence and mental well-being.  

Integrating art with other subject areas also reaches students who might otherwise not be engaged.
