Hello Emerick Eagle Family!
I am originally from Pennsylvania where I received my Bachelor's Degree in elementary education from IUP(Indiana University of Pennsylvania) and moved to VA in 2000. I received my Master's Degree in Administration Leadership from George Mason University. I am an avid Pittsburgh fan for every sport- I do love the Wizards though.(No basketball team in Pittsburgh) I taught in Warren County for 9 years and then for 6 more at Pinebrook Elementary in Loudoun. I was the dean for my last 2 years there. I am married to a high school math teacher and have 2 amazing children. My little girl is a recent graduate of George Mason University with a degree in Management Information Systems. My son attends Skyline High School and loves lacrosse. Time goes by so fast! It seems like just yesterday we were so nervous about sending them to kindergarten. Cherish the time you have with your children!

I am passionate about kids’ learning and being successful. Every mistake is another opportunity to learn. I am excited to be a part of the wonderful Emerick staff where we are forward-thinking in our approaches to teaching and learning. Whether it is genius hour, personalized learning, project-based learning, or exploring in our makerspace, students are becoming critical thinkers and problem solvers through authentic lessons. We want to empower students to make meaningful contributions to the world!
